Puran Indian Restaurant

I've been eating at Puran since it opened over a decade ago. It is the absolute best Indian restaurant in the area, without question. Tonight's meal was simply off the charts. The spice in my paneer masala is perfect (and the leftovers will be even better tomorrow), and I'm pretty sure this is the best-tasting okra I've had in my entire life, including the summers I spent in the Deep South as a child. Like, seriously, I want to invite everyone reading this review over to taste this okra because OMG CAN YOU BELIEVE HOW GOOD IT IS NO I LITERALLY CAN'T EVEN HOW DO WHAT ACK (seriously, this is truly some amazingly well-prepared okra).

Nuts and bolts time: the food is always delicious, always fresh, always hot from the oven. Puran can give you spiciness ranging from barely there to fogging up your glasses because beads of sweat are breaking out on your forehead (this literally happened when an old boss of mine decided to, as someone used to say, kick it up a notch). The menu is pretty broad and covers just about everything you might want to order, but if there's a dish you're craving and don't see, it never hurts to ask. And if you have leftovers, I've yet to have something there that doesn't taste just as amazing when reheated as it did the day before. (One note of caution: it may be spicier the next day.)

The single downside to ordering from Puran through GH is the minimum cost for a delivery order. If you're ordering for two or more, you should clear the $25 minimum with no problem (two entrees, naan/appetizer should get you there easily), but ordering for one person makes it a bit more difficult.

I was thrilled when I found out Puran delivered. And now that Puran is on GH, I get to tell even more folks how much I love this place and the food that comes out of its kitchen. In the parlance of our times, DO WANT. :)

We love Puran Puran. It tends to run us a little higher to eat everyday, but whenever we need a flavorful indulgence, it is one of our favorites, for sure.

Outstanding! Beat indian in town. DO NOT SKIP THE NAAN! Highly recommend and the food arrived significantly quicker than we thought.

Everything we order from Puran is always delicious and they always have our pick up order ready to go when we get there.

Very impressive. Looking forward to eating here again and we just finished. It also made my unborn grandson happy.
